I'm good with any thing as long as it doesn't kill the Ishpeming - Negaunee game.

Lake Linden is the smallest class D team in the UP and playing all class C and a B. Have at it.

NO ONE is suggesting that Lake Linden play anything other than the schedule they are playing now. People are making suggestions on how to provide scheduling relief for the three smallest GNC schools and step up the level of competition for the bigger schools in the U.P., along with trying to get the rivalry games back on the schedule. Try reading the entire thread before you start spouting off....

The last thing I would be in favor of is more dead rivalries.

I like these ideas lets keep the rivalries, and restart the ones that were stopped. My though is teams can play up or down 2 divisions, so if your including Escanaba as the largest in D4 they could play down to D6, the D8 teams could play up to D6. But what happens to Marquette?

I think both Marquette and Escanaba are exploring all options, including the Northern LP as a possibility with OOC games hopefully against many former GNC schools. It all depends on what happens to all the schools in the GNC.

The GNC in some way has been shot down by the WestPAC repeatedly over the last year or so for ideas.

That sounds good!

I hope everything can get figured out up there! Hopefully the Mid-Division-Class B schools can find a home with the rest of the U.P.

Calumet just backed the argument & just proved why other U.P. schools can't be playing the Kingsford's and Menominee's 8) I told a Menominee alumni down here "Watch out for Calumet! They are really good this year!"
