Tech has always used UP kids and have had a lot of success. NMU's coach has to realize that the character and work ethics of a UP kid can pay huge dividends for there program.

Plus I make much more of an effort to go see Tech then I do NMU. Why? I like to watch the local kids play.

I have been holding back my thoughts on NMU. But so far (and its only been a year - so maybe I am wrong) Ostrowsky reminds me of Sams. Same recruiting thought process seems to be going on. Hopefully they prove me wrong. I would love to see an NMU of the 1970's again.

Tech was very close to making the playoffs this year. I think all 3 losses were by one TD. All three losses were to teams that tied for first in the GLIAC north. Each of those teams has bad losses to teams that had losing records. Lots of losses in the receiving corps and in the front seven on defense. Tech just seems to reload the last several years, just hoping they do it again. Good place for the yooper kids to play and get a good education to boot.
