with Gogebic and Ironwood teaming up this year, this left Gogebic to leave the Mid-Eastern Conference and they will play in the West Pac this season.

This left the other 5 conference schools to search for a replacement game. These teams might still have an open date:

Bark River-Harris (weeks 2 and 4)
Lake Linden-Hubbell (week 4)
Munising (week 8)
Newberry (week 6)

Lake Linden-Hubbell has scheduled a game against Southeast Wisconson Christian Homeschool Assocation (SWCHA) Saints, for Sept. 16th....to be played at Tomahawk.

It is good that the Lakes filled their open date........BUT, SWCHA is not a recognized WIAA school. They are actually your typical homeschool type of team. The MHSAA in the past has looked at these type of football games as a non-varsity type of game, or, a scrimmage.

Just wonder if the Lakes have gotten the O.K. from the MHSAA to schedule this game.

if both Bark River-Harris and Lake Linden-Hubbell are still having trouble finding a game for week 4, perhaps these schools can move their week 6 game to week 4......then try to look for a game for each other in week 6.......

there seems to be a few more schools in Michigan and Wisconsin that also have openings in week 6.

Can Newberry and Munising join St. Ignace and Manistique in forming an 11-man Bridge Alliance with Rogers City, Inland Lakes, Harbor Springs?

Bark River Harris picked up Kirkland Hiawatha from Illinois for week 4 and traveling there takes about 5-6 hours. Happy for the Broncos to pick up an extra game and have week 2 to fill yet. Possibly teams from downstate.

Appears Coach Madigan is still very animated! Wish I could get up there to the U.P. portion of God's country one game to see him coach...on a beautiful day of course!!!!

The players must feed off his enthusiasm!
