Negaunee @ Ishpeming

Both teams with losing records heading into this one...very strange. Hopefully the swamp is still as packed as it usually is for this western Marquette county matchup. Negaunee hasn't won in the swamp since 2003 and I don't think this is the year they end that streak. Looking for the Hematites to start a winning streak this week. If they can find the discipline they lack they can roll off 6 or 7 straight wins!

What I find very interesting about this game is both teams are in playoff mode from here on out. Both teams being 2-3 this is a must win.

So you have Ishpeming needing to clean up turnovers/penalties while the Miners have been showing much improvement, especially with their sophomores at the skilled positions.

Dang- this is gonna be a good, intense game!

Negaunee holds on 21-14...I’m sure Ish had many more total yards on offense but turned ball over too many times..Sundberg out for the second half also was a huge benefit to Negaunee but a win is a win especially winning in Ishpeming..young Negaunee team has won 3 in a row...the Calumet loss that they should have won is really looming large right now
