Appears Coach Holmstrom has these young men heading in the right direction:

This really is a nice looking conference (well like all of them up there in God's Country)...By the way, doesn't Nordstrom play hockey too?

I love seeing Copper Country hockey players playing football too. Hats off to the kids that do.

That's certainly a big part of what houghton needs to to do get competitive again. I know Hancock has a good turnout from their hockey team and calumet always has at least 70% of their hockey players play football.

I notice in the news articles that some Hancock and cal football players sneak in a game with team CC hockey on the weekend.

The Hancock guys that play for Team CC also are both Salani kids, Nordstrom and Kero. Calumet has Loukus, Erkkila and Voelker. I may be missing a Cally kid. In any event, these are all great kids. To play football Friday night, then drive Saturday to play hockey Saturday and Sunday is dedication. This weekend they go to Fairbault Mn to play Shattuck St Mary's Saturday afternoon and Sunday. Last weekend they were in Duluth.
