NMFL 2019 season

According to the Michigan-Football website, it looks like Gaylord St Mary and Newberry won't be in the conference. Wonder if they went eight man?

Yep, I knew that. Newberry has decreased in enrollment over the years and Gaylord St Mary decided the move to eight man was best for them. Heard there's over 80 8-man teams in the state of Michigan and 3-4 schools are ineligible for playoffs due to high enrollment.

Yeah, the cut off is brutal as always. St. Mary had to drop Boyne Falls from their co-op, because with them, the combined enrollment was juuuuuust over the cut off limit (cut off is 189, combined enrollment w/ BF would have been 192).

According to MHSAA Gaylord St Mary's is only a 94 enrollment and boyne falls is at 44 which combined would not make them playoff ineligible. I also question that quote about 3-4 being ineligible.

You're forgetting that GSM also co-ops with Alba and Mancelona North Central Academy, which puts them at a combined enrollment of 162. Adding Boyne Falls' 40 students to that puts them at 202, which is over the limit.

Also, I know that Mesick, Burton Atherton, and Bridgman are all 8 man schools this year that are ineligible because of enrollment, and I think there's at least 1 or 2 more, so there's 3 right there.
