2009 Open Dates

2009 Open Dates for teams, by week of Michigan teams. Work in progress..........(Last updated 10-06-09)

Many of the following teams may have already filled their open dates. Those updates will be forthcoming.

Teams with an open date due to Posen cancelling it's season are listed with a (Po)
Teams with an open date due to Wyoming Tri-unity Christian cancelling it's season are listed with a (WT).

Burr Oak officials reportedly informed it's 2009 opponents that it could not field a team this year. Then later, emailed those schools to tell them they will try to make a go of it. Teams below that are scheduled to play Burr Oak, but may not, are listed by (BO)

>Schools that will not field varsity 11-man football in 2009, but did in 2008:

Akron-Fairgrove (D) (will play 8-man football)
Carsonville-Port Sanilac (D) (will play 8-man football)
Detroit Chadsey (school closing June 2009)
Flint Central (school closing June 2009)
Owendale-Gagetown (D) (will play 8-man football)
Pontiac Central (A) (school closing, merging with Pontiac Northern)
Pontiac Northern (A)
Posen (D) (cancelled 2009 season due to low numbers, will try 8-man football in 2009))
Wakefield-Marenisco (D) (now in a co-op with Bessemer)
Wyoming Tri-unity Christian (C) (cancelled 2009 season due to low numbers)
